Terms & Conditions

These terms are the agreement between you and us for playing Idle Discovery. They're written to be readable — but they are still a binding agreement, so please read them. By downloading or playing the Game, you accept these terms.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, installing, or playing Idle Discovery, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not play. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required where you live) to play. If you are below the age of majority in your region, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and accepted these terms on your behalf.

2. Licence to play

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and play Idle Discovery on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by us.

3. Acceptable use

To keep the Game fun and fair, you agree not to:

• Cheat, exploit bugs, or use unauthorized software, bots, or modifications to alter gameplay, save files, or currency balances;
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the Game's source code, except where the law expressly permits it;
• Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Game or the services and networks behind it;
• Abuse purchases, chargebacks, or refunds, or attempt to obtain virtual items by fraudulent means;
• Copy, redistribute, sell, or commercially exploit the Game or its assets without our written permission.

4. Purchases & virtual items

Idle Discovery is free to play and is not pay-to-win — optional purchases only speed up your progress and never lock content behind a paywall.

• Virtual items — in-game currency (such as Star Dust), boosts, time warps, Flux Cores, and other items have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for real money, and are licensed to you, not sold. You can buy Star Dust, or earn some in-game.
• Payments — purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms. We do not receive or store your full payment details.
• Refunds — virtual items are non-refundable once delivered, except where the law requires otherwise. Refund requests are handled by the relevant app store according to its policy; we cannot directly issue store refunds.
• Changes — we may add, modify, balance, re-price, or discontinue virtual items and game features over time as part of normal live operation.

5. Subscriptions

We may offer auto-renewing subscriptions (such as the Explorer's Pass, which removes ads and keeps certain boosts active).

• A subscription is billed through your App Store or Google Play account and renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• You can manage or cancel a subscription anytime in your store account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund the current period, except where the law requires.
• If we change a subscription's price, the stores will notify you and, where required, ask you to confirm before the change takes effect.

6. Advertising

The Game offers optional rewarded advertisements that you may choose to watch in exchange for in-game bonuses. Watching ads is never required to progress. Ads are served by third parties and are subject to their own terms and our Privacy Policy.

7. Our intellectual property

The Game and everything in it — including its characters, artwork, animations, music, text, code, and the "Idle Discovery" name and logo — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer any ownership to you.

8. Cloud saves

If you sign in to Apple Game Center or Google Play Games, your progress may be backed up to that service's cloud. This feature is provided by Apple or Google, not by us. We don't control or guarantee its availability and are not responsible for save data held by Apple or Google. Your local progress is stored on your device; we are not responsible for progress lost due to device changes, uninstalls, or data clearing.

9. Updates & availability

We may release updates, patches, and new content, and may change or remove features at any time. We may also suspend or discontinue the Game, in whole or in part, without liability.

10. Disclaimers

The Game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, progress, or virtual items, arising from your use of the Game. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

12. Your consumer rights (EU/UK)

If you are a consumer, you have statutory rights that these terms do not affect — including, in the EU, a legal guarantee that digital content conforms to its description. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live. EU consumers can also access the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

13. Termination

You may stop playing and uninstall the Game at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or misuse the Game. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will continue to apply.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in-game. Continued play after an update means you accept the revised terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Portugal, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
